Ticket Transfers

Your members may wish to give or sell their ticket to someone else. The transfer feature makes this simple while ensuring that each QR code remains unique and traceable.


How Participants Initiate a Transfer

  1. A participant signs in to the portal and goes to My Details → Latest Trips.
  2. Next to a future trip they click Transfer.
  3. They fill in the buyer's student ID, name and e-mail address.
  4. On submission the following happens automatically:
  5. Original ticket is cancelled.
  6. A brand-new ticket (and QR code) is issued to the buyer.
  7. A log entry is stored for auditing.
  8. Both parties receive confirmation e-mails.

Important: Transfers are disabled once the trip date has passed.


Reviewing Transfers as an Admin

  1. Open the trip page and click View Transfers.
  2. The list shows every transfer with time stamp, seller and buyer details.
  3. Use this information to resolve disputes or follow up on payments.

Manually Transferring a Ticket

If a participant e-mails you outside the system (e.g. typo in buyer e-mail) you can reproduce the process:

  1. Switch to the participant's profile.
  2. Remove them from the trip.
  3. Use Add Participant to create a ticket for the buyer.

The new ticket will have a fresh QR code that invalidates the old one.


Common Questions

Q: Can I undo a transfer? A: Not automatically. Use the manual workflow above to swap the ticket back.

Q: Does the price carry over? A: Payment is arranged between students – the system only tracks who the current holder is.
